There is always a Kerry connection: English visitors to West Cork
There is always a Kerry connection and the Clonakilty Park Hotel West Cork Rally is no exception.
English visitors Gavin Rogers and Georgina Clark are regular visitors to the West Cork Rally.
Gavin first competed on the Clonakilty-based rally in 1996 and this is the Ford Escort Mk2 driver’s 15th appearance at the event. For co-driver Georgina, it is her fifth time in Clonakilty.
But to find the Kerry connection it is necessary to look towards car 135’s service crew.
First-time visitors to the rally are Matt and Suze Endean. Suze is best known for her role as the Clerk of the Course for the Brand Hatch Rally in Kent each January.
Her great-aunt (or grand-aunt), Jacqueline Cullinane, lives in Cloghane in West Kerry.
There is always a Kerry connection!
