Moloney’s early season New Zealand plans

The delayed New Zealand Rally season will get under way on Sunday.

Co-driver Noel Moloney is contesting the one of the most popular rallysprint events on the NZ calendar – the Pukekohe Car Club’s Bothwell Loop event near Te Akau alongside Clinton Cunningham in a Skoda Fabia Rally2.

The crew are using the event as a prelude to the New Zealand Rally Championship which gets underway later this month.

The Otago Rally will run from March 31 to 2. It is based in the beautiful city of Dunedin, in the south of New Zealand, and is the first round of the 2023 Brian Green Property Group New Zealand Rally Championship.

This component of the event features New Zealand’s leading competitors in modern, state-of-the-art 4WD turbo rally cars, including the exciting AP4 and R5 rally cars.

Moloney and Cunningham will face recent FIA European Rally Championship counting Fafe Rally winner Hayden Paddon in this event
