Eddie Kennelly and Paul McGlinchey are Top Part award winners for 2022
Kerry Motor Club crew Eddie Kennelly and Paul McGlinchey will be the only Kerry crew to pick up an award in this year’s Top Part West Coast Rally Championship.
Now in its 29th year, the locally sponsored rally championship is one of the most popular regional series in the country and unique in the fact that it has had the same sponsor since its launch in 1993.
Organisers are planning a special way of marking the 30th anniversary next year and more details will be announced at the championship prize giving at the Raheen Woods Hotel in Athenry, County Galway on January 21 next year.
That is the same night that Eddie and Paul will collect their trophies for finishing second in class 11R in this year’s campaign.
The final round of the championship was last weekend’s Banna Beach Resort Kerry Winter Rally and although the local crew did not finish they did enough to secure second in the title race over the previous rounds
