Moloney wins in New Zealand
Noel Moloney won the recent Waitomo Rally in New Zealand.
The rally took place on the same day as The Kerry Winter Rally.
He co-drove for Clinton Cunningham Noel Moloney in a Skoda Fabia R5.
This was the Duagh native’s first time being the top seed for a rally.
The clubman rally was promoted by the Hamilton Car Club Inc and will take place on Sunday, October 30 in the Otorohanga /Waitomo area.
The event comprised four special stages totalling 80km of competition.
“The first loop was overcast but dry roads. We got into the second loop then the rain came down heavy as for the last loop,” he said.
“Brilliant stages hopefully go back there again next year. Clinton did a solid job behind the wheel as it was only his second event in the car
