Noel Moloney and his driver Quentin Palmer took an impressive fourth overall on Saturday’s South Canterbury Rally – round three of the New Zealand Rally Championship.

They took top honours in the Rally Challenge (newcomers) class in their Mitsubishi Lancer E3. It was the second event in a row that the Kiwi/Kerry pairing dominated class proceedings in what is their first serious attempt at the New Zealand Rally Championship.

“It was an awesome weekend with dry roads,” Moloney told Kerry Motorsport News, “A brilliant result for us.”
The result now means that Moloney leads the co-drivers standings in the MotorSport NZ Rally Challenge Championship with just two rounds to run.
The penultimate round of the five round series is the Rally Hawkes Bay on July 24 followed by the Rally Coromandel on September 24.
