Andrew Murphy Racing opts for Yamaha power for 2021 Dunlop Masters Championship

Andrew Murphy, from just over the County Bounds, in Mountcollins in Limerick will return to the Letterkenny-based PCRS team for 2021 after a year running a privateer Triumph 675.

Murphy was a frontrunner in the Dunlop Masters Championship last year and hopes his newly acquired Yamaha R6 will help him return to winning ways.

The last three times the 2017 Superbike Cup champion raced a Yamaha prepared by PCRS, in 2019, he finished on the podium.

“I don’t know what it is but I seem to get more out of a standard Yamaha than I do a race-prepared Triumph,” he said. “I rode a Yamaha in 2019 for Philip Case of PCRS and they are a great team to work with.”

His partner Samantha Martin, Kerry’s only female motorcycle racer was expected unveil her new bike livery and 2021 championship aspirations over the Christmas period.
