Killarney co-driver Paul Nagle will take on the FIA World Rally Championship Safety Delegate role on a full-time basis for the 2027 season.

Nagle worked on a part-time basis throughout 2026, covering half of the championship calendar alongside his existing commitments. Following a successful transition into the organisation side of the sport, the five-time WRC event winner will now oversee route safety, stage inspections, and competitor protocols across all rounds of the global series next year.

His expanded full-time campaign will begin in January under the sport’s new technical regulations at Rallye Monte-Carlo.

Alongside his international commitments, Nagle remains closely tied to home turf, serving as Clerk of the Course for Kerry Motor Club’s 30th anniversary Killarney Historic Rally.
