First Kerry woman to compete on iconic Goodwood rally stage

West Kerry co-driver Elaine Ní Shé is set to make history next weekend at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed as the first Kerry woman to compete on the event’s iconic Forest Rally Stage.

She will join Tyrone driver Richard O’Lone in an M-Sport Ford Fiesta Rally3. The pair will tackle the prestigious woodland course, which features demanding gravel sections, jumps, and high-speed action in front of thousands of spectators.

The event marks a major milestone for Ní Shé, bringing Kerry representation to a global platform that attracts leading manufacturers, historic cars, and World Rally Championship stars.

“I’m absolutely delighted to be heading to Goodwood with Richard in the Ford Fiesta Rally3 car,” she said. “The Forest Rally Stage is an incredible part of the event and a fantastic opportunity to showcase Irish rallying on such a global platform.”
