Summer has officially arrived in the district as several major car clubs and supercar tours descend on the town this week.
Four distinct marques have been spotted across the local roads, bringing a mix of vintage rally icons and modern performance machinery to the Ring of Kerry.
The Opel Vauxhall run is based at the Killarney Oaks Hotel this weekend. The group will spend the coming days exploring the back roads of South Kerry, showcasing a range of classic models from both brands.
Fiat enthusiasts were out in force last weekend for the 3ma26 (Maximum Mirafiori Mobilization Attempt).
This non-profit gathering celebrates the history of the Fiat 131 and marks a significant milestone this year. The 20th Anniversary event was held from May 8–11 to recreate the very first 3ma gathering, which took place in Killarney in 2007.
Porsche and McLaren have also made a strong showing. Last week, a fleet of 24 Porsches of various models was spotted touring both the Dingle Peninsula and the Ring of Kerry. They were followed this week by a fleet of McLaren supercars, which took to the Ring of Kerry on Wednesday.
