GLOBETROTTING IRISH CREWS SECURE PODIUMS AND CLASS LEADS WORLDWIDE
Irish rally competitors have made their mark on the international stage this weekend, with significant results coming in from the Middle East, Europe, and Australia.
Moore Clinches Second in Jordan
Mayo’s Lorcan Moore enjoyed a successful return to the Middle East on Friday, securing second place overall at the Jordan National Rally.
Co-driving for Saudi Arabia’s Hamza Bakhashab in a Toyota GR Yaris Rally2, the pair proved the pace of the new machinery against a field of seasoned local experts. They finished as runners-up to the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X of Shaker Jweihan and Mustafa Juma.
For Moore, the event served as vital seat time ahead of the upcoming Middle East Rally Championship (MERC) rounds, continuing the strong form he showed in Qatar late last year.
Brady Leads Romanian Tarmac Charge

In Romania, veteran co-driver Martin Brady has made an immediate impact at Raliul Harghitei. Deputising for Moore alongside Reis Suliman in a Peugeot 208 Rally4, Brady guided the local rising star to a dominant performance on Saturday’s tarmac stages.
The duo currently sits P1 in Class RO4, Class RO4/A, FWD, and the Junior categories.
Their pace has been enough to slot them into an impressive tenth overall.
The event concludes early Sunday morning with two final stages; the finish is scheduled for 08:41 Irish time.
Dermody and Moynihan Master the Outback

In South Australia, the pairing of Tom Dermody and Eoin Moynihan has been the class of the field in the Shannons Rally of the Heartland. Despite challenging conditions involving high winds and lingering dust, their Ford RS1800 has been untouchable in the Classic section.
Having extended their lead during the Saturday afternoon loop, they look set for a top result as the event nears its conclusion. Final results from the Australian outback are expected around 06:00 Irish time on Sunday morning.
