Today, Sunday marks the European Le Mans Series opening round with the 4 Hours of Barcelona.

The European Le Mans Series is a feeder series for the greatest endurance race of them all and if you can make it in ELMS then you are almost certain of an invite to the big race.
Kerry motorsport fans have a new reason to pay attention to ELMS.
Lorcan Hanifin. son of Tralee man Dermot is contesting the championship this year.
He is racing JMW Motorsport in the LMGTE class.
They got their season off to a great start, claiming the championship point for pole position in qualifying for the 4 Hours of Barcelona.
Lorcan’s Bronze teammate Martin Berry went quickest with five minutes left on the clock, his 1m41.060 was good enough for pole position on Sunday.
Lorcan, as the team’s Silver driver will drive in the second stint in the four-hour race tomorrow. They will share a Ferrari 488 GTE for the race.
Fassbender qualified sixth in his shared Porsche 911 RSR – He will share the Proton Dempsey Racing car with Richard Lietz and Martin Rump
