Kerry contenders in the Top Part West Coast Rally Championship

After last week’s Rose Hotel Circuit of Kerry Rally – let’s have a look at how Kerry-based competitors are doing in the Top Part West Coast Championship

Class 2

Katie Quinn Rally is in fifth place in Class 2

Class 3

Gearoid O Regan is third in this class

Class 10

The all-Kerry Motor Club crew of PJ O Dowd and Patrick Lawlor  lead class 10 in their Sunbeam

Class 11R

Eddie Kennelly and Paul McGlinchey  are third in class while debutants Stephen O’Connor and Jonathan O Shea are fifth

Class 12

There is a lot of Kerry interest in Class 12.

Raymond O Neill and Jason O Connor  are third

Sean Enright  and Kevin Doherty are fourth

Maurice Browne and Chris Browne are fifth

And despite a non-finish Tyrone-based Brosna men Colm Browne  and Michael Browne are sixth

CLASS 13

Dave Slattery  and Denis Coffey are second

London-based Ross Hillard and Joey Hillard are sixth

Michael Dowling and Stephen Buckley sit seventh

Ger O Brien and John Liston  are eighth

Co-driver John Falvey did not finish, as did Michael Ray Stack and Gene Stack and driver John Corrigan – they each got one point to tie for 10th place.

Class 14

Rally clerk of the course Eoin Duffin got eight points in reward for his workload – that leaves him joint third (PS a great idea by West Coast organisers).

Mike Quinn and Kieran Doherty are fourth

Former championship-winning co-driver turned driver Brian Hickey and his navigator Noel Murphy are sixth

Crew Peter Kelly /Maurice McElligott, co-driver Denis O Connell and crew Tadhg O Sullivan/ Keith McCarthy  did not finish so have one start point and share seventh place

Class 16 JUNIORS

Kerry Motor Club member John Michael Kennelly and co-driver John Fleming are second.
