London-based Killarney man Mick Smith will drive his newly acquired Hillman Imp for the first time at this weekend’s Race Retro,
Race Retro is the biggest historic motorsport exhibition in Britain.

Mick acquired the car last year after he sold one of the 27 Chrysler Avengers he has owned in his long rally career.
Previous owner John Hallam built the car into an exact replica of the works cars from the 1960s and 1970s.

“The car is built to exactly to the spec of last works Imp,” said Mick.
“John spent so much time researching the factory Imps, then having it built from 2017 to that exact spec. He even bought a near-reg no from DVLA. Factory car was ALN 250H. For its first outing I will be taking it to Race Retro this weekend for a show off.”
