NEW ZEALAND RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP
Noel Moloney will get his 2023 New Zealand Rally season underway on Sunday.
He is contesting the Arcadia Road Rallysprint near Paparoa.
The event is organised by Hibiscus Coast Motorsport Club, which is based in Auckland’s North Shore.
Moloney is preparing for the New Zealand Rally Championship alongside Clinton Cunningham in a Skoda Fabia RC2 and Sunday’s rallysprint is a shakedown for the season ahead.
“I am really looking forward to getting back in the seat. We will take every rally as a learning step in the Skoda,” said Moloney
The rally is slightly shorter than last year as some of the roads were damaged by the recent flash flooding in New Zealand.
“My heart goes out to them and hope these people get back on their feet soon in these unprecedented times,” he added.
