Nothing left wanting as Ger Conway wins Kirkistown Rally by 0.1 of a second
Ger Conway got his 2023 season off to bea winning start with a start to finish victory in the eurocables Kirkistown Rally on Saturday.
The Milltown man was on co-driving duty for Monaghan’s Stephen Wright in a Ford Fiesta RC2.
Ony 0.1 of second separated the Kerry/ Monaghan crew from runners Jonathan Greer and Brian Crawford in their Citroen C3 Rally2.
Greer will be familiar to Kerry Motor Sport News readers as the winner of the Rentokil Initial Killarney Historic Rally last December.
“It was a great day, very tight racing, we got a good stage one which set us up nicely for the day,” Ger told Kerry Motorsport News.

“We just about held out for the win, there was nothing left wanting on the last stage!”
Conway and Wright are entered into the opening round of the Triton Showers National Rally Championship early next month, however they have no plans to contest a full championship, taking it one event at the time.
“Heading to the Midlands Moto now in two weeks, so a nice test for that. Not committing to any championships, just picking and choosing at the moment, we’ll see how the Midlands goes,” he added.
