The Top Part West Coast Rally Championship will celebrate its 30th anniversary this year.
The championship, founded in 1993 by Kerry, Limerick, Skibbereen, Clare and Galway Motor Clubs, has been sponsored by the same motor factor group – Top Part – since its inception.
A championship launch will take place on February 11 at 2pm at Limerick Racecourse.
“We are looking forward to a big year for our championship in 2023 as we will be celebrating 30 years since our championship formation and 30 years with the original sponsor – the Top Part Group,” said organising committee member Richard Talbot.
“This has to be a first in rallying worldwide.”

A photoshoot will take place at 2.15pm and the launch will take place shortly afterwards.
Fittingly, the Circuit of Kerry Rally, on April 2, will be first rounds of the 2023 championship. The same event opened the championship in 1993.
The inaugural series was won by Vincent O’Shea from Kenmare. He is still a regular competitor these days.
