Browne family in action in New Zealand and Banna on the same day
Did you hear about the member of the Browne family from Brosna who was rallying in New Zealand last weekend?
Or did your hear about the members of the Browne family from Brosna who were rallying in Banna last weekend.
That is right. six members of the one family we competing in four different cars at each side of the world last weekend.
On Sunday last, co-driver Kieran Browne competed in the Waitimo Rally in New Zealand.
He was alongside Dan Reichenbach in a Honda Civic and finished 31st overall.
Later the same day his uncle Maurice and three of Maurice’s sons were competing in the Kerry Winter Rally at Banna.

Brothers Colm and Mike Browne finished 35th overall and fourth in class 12 in their Ford Escort G3. Tyrone-based Colm usually competes on rounds of the Northern Irish Rally Championship but always makes the pilgrimage to Banna.

Their brother Chris Browne finished second on the Junior rally in Banna driving another Honda Civic.
Cousins Maurice Browne (father of Colm, Mike and Chris and uncle of Kieron) and James Browne finished ninth in class 12 in their Escort.
