Moriarty’s Kingdom of Kerry is wide open ahead of Banna Rally
The Moriarty’s Centra Kingdom of Kerry Rally Championship is unpredictable at the best of times but there is one thing certain after this weekend’s Banna Beach Resort Kerry Winter Rally.
The only County Championship in the country will have a new leader come Sunday evening.

Rod Duggan has not entered the rally.
That paves the way for former champion Darren Young to take the lead depending on how many start Class 11F.
Mark Murphy, last year’s champion is also in a position to move further up the leader board but class 11R is not very well supported in this event.
A week enough historic section means Alan Ring’s points tally won’t increase too much on Sunday, likewise for Fergus O’Meara.
Cyril Wharton is in a unique position. He is the only driver to start all four rounds so far and the fact that he is also entered in the Historic rally gives him a great chance of moving into the medal positions.
Connor Murphy is probably the championship’s dark horse at this stage
The co-drivers section is wide open too. Ger Conway is in the driving seat, if you excuse the pun, alongside Richard Moffatt on a class 14 Toyota.
Damien Fleming is alongside Murphy but there are no entries from Noel O’Sullivan and Sean Walsh leaving Wharton’s co-driver Donal Falvey in a great position.
Sean Collins and Denny Greaney are not to be discounted either.
