Rare Alfa Romeo on display at Automobili Italia Tralee this weekend
One of world’s rarest Alfa Romeos will participate in this weekend’s Automobili Italia event in Tralee.
The two-day Italian motoring extravaganza gets underway Friday evening off Dan Spring Road.
After a static display on the opening night (complete with live DJ) over 100 cars and motorcycles of Italian origin will embark on a tour of west Kerry on Saturday
On return the participants will enjoy a social evening at the Rose Hotel.
Once car confirmed for the Saturday element of the show is a Alfa Romeo ES-30 SZ (Sprint Zagato or ES (Experimental Sportscar).
This high-performance limited-production sports car was built between 1989 and 1991 by a partnership between designs houses at Zagato, Alfa Romeo and Fiat.
The car was based on the Alfa Romeo 75, with production being carried out by near the Alfa Romeo factory in Arese.
A total 1,036 SZs were produced and this Dublin-registered example is said to be the only one in Ireland.
