Kerry crews in action in Galway
Ger Conway could replace Brian Murphy in the co-driver’s seat of Gareth MacHale’s Volkswagen Polo. This is expected to be confirmed on Thursday. They are the third seed for Sunday’s rally. Interestingly. MacHale’s brother Aaron has sold his Polo to Tim McNulty.
Paul Barrett, the Kildare man with strong ties to Ballydulff is the 15th seed for the rally in his Ford Fiesta.
Defending Kerry Winter Rally champion Sam Moffatt and his Abbeyfeale co-driver Keith Moriarty are out again in a Toyota Starlet RWD. With R5’s not allowed to compete on Mini Stage rallies hopefully, Sam will defend his title in the Starlet.
Conor Murphy and Sean Collin will run at 28 in their Ford Escort and exactly 30 cars behind sit Denis Hickey and Sean Nolan in another Escort.
John McCarthy is better known as a co-driver including winning the Rally of the Lakes junior class alongside Jason Farrell. He is down to drive a Honda Civic with Kieran O’Donoghue on the notes.

McCarthy is doing to the rally so he can upgrade his licence as he plans on buying an Escort in the future.
Bob Moran and his Cork co-driver Eoin Collins compete in their usual Escort.
Eddie Kennelly and Paul McGlinchy are the only all-Kerry crew chasing Top Part West Coast Championship points. They are second in Class 11R heading into this weekend’s rally.
Co-driver Denny Greaney is alongside Paul Roche in a Ford Fiesta.
In the junior section Alan O’Sullivan and Maurice McElligott compete in the Annascaul man’s Honda Civic. O’Sullivan is third in the Junior section of the Top Part West Coast championship.
