Fassbender back behind the wheel of racing car
Michael Fassbender will be back behind the steering wheel of racing for the first time this year when he takes to a track in France on Tuesday.
The Hollywood A-lister from Fossa is returning for a third season in the European Le Mans Series.
The championship is hosting its official test and training day at the Le Castellet Circuit in France on Tuesday ahead of the opening races of the new season at the same venue over the Easter weekend.
Fassbender will drive for the 2018 and 2020 champions Team Proton Competition which will field two Porsche 911s.
The first Porsche 911 will feature 2020 champion Christian Ried alongside Gianmaria Bruni and Lorenzo Ferrari. The second Porsche will see Fassbender start his third season in the ELMS alongside Richard Lietz and Canadian ZacharieRobichon.
It is all part of Fassbender’s dream to contest the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June and he has already been accepted on the entry list for the 2022 edition of the world’s most-famous endurance motor race.
