Kerry native, Foran, joins World Rally Championship as the promoter’s Social Media manager
A Kerry man has been appointed as Social Media Manager in the FIA World Rally Championship.
Padraig Foran, from Castleisland, will start working for the WRC promoter from April’s Rally Croatia.
He is well known in Kerry rally circles, as a teenager, he used to take photos of local events under his own Rally Focus Media banner.
In recent years he worked for a UK firm that provided social media footage for the FIA Formula One World Championship but will now move to the WRC to follow his ultimate dream.
“A hugely proud moment for me as I join the WRC Promoter this week as their Social Media Manager, covering all things WRC, ERC and more,” he said in a social media post.
“As you can imagine, this is a dream role of mine and to say I’m excited is an understatement. I won’t name everyone that has supported me along the way, but you know who you are – a huge thank you from me. Seems like just yesterday I was selling calendars!”
