Final details for Sunday’s car show in Tralee

Drivers showing their cars at Sunday’s fundraising car show have been asked to follow a few simple steps to make life easier for everyone.

The show has attracted a capacity entry of nearly 300 cars.

The Brandon Car Park will be manned by Kerry Motor Club marshals from 9am and the exhibitors should arrive as soon as possible after this to avoid congestion in the Brandon hotel area once the show opens to the public around 12 noon.

Entry by prior booking only – withdrawals should contact John on 087 689 8530 to make room for additional cars

There is a dedicated trailer park at the Rose Hotel – the usual service park for the Circuit of Kerry. Drivers are asked to unload there and drive cars (once they are insured etc) to the show grounds. It is a five-minute walk from the hotel to the carpark.

Unloading will be allowed in the car park early in the morning but once the car park starts to fill it simply will not be possible to do this later in the day – early arrival is advised for all concerned.

Follow the marshals’ instructions on arrival – there is a parking plan in place that will need to be followed to get all expected 280 cars lined up.

There is a big event on in the nearby Simasa Tire too… the club will have a dedicated access road in the showground kept free of exhibits to allow theatre staff come and go from the staff carpark. Do not block this access road.

The day will kick off with a 5km walk at 12 noon – car enthusiasts are welcome to join this event too.

There will be a series of raffles and spot prizes handed out on the day.

All car drivers who are exhibiting will be given a free entry to a raffle once owners fill out a registration form on arrival and return it to the club officials.

The best advice is to arrive early and get the show set up!

Show entries are by donation – remember this event is being run to raise funds for a seriously ill man in New York – please give generously.

The show will run until 5pm

The Quinlan Family are very grateful to all who have supported this event.

.

Enjoy the day
