A 1948 Ford Popular/ Anglia drag racing car will be one of the star attractions at Sunday’s car show in Tralee.
The show is being run by members of Kerry Motor Club to raise funds for James Quinlan who faces a difficult medical journey in New York.
So far over 280 cars are confirmed for the show including this Ford drag racer.
The car puts out between 900 and 1200 brake horsepower depending on if it is normally fuelled or if nitrous is added.

It can reach 150mph from a standing start over a quarter of a mile in less than nine seconds.
The car is owned by Castlemaine-based Baranby Levy. He usually races the car at FIA approved Drag Strips all over Europe.
Sunday’s show will be one of the rare occasions this car goes on show in Kerry.
Even though Barnaby does not know James Quinlan he wanted to be there to help a fellow petrol head and that is why the car is making a rare appearance at a show.
