Sydney-based Darragh Murphy finished fourth overall in the opening round of the St Geroge Summer Nights Road Race Series at Eastern Creek on Friday night.
He is the brother of Dunlop Masters Supersport 600cc runner-up Andrew and a former front runner on Irish events when he lived in Mountcollins.

Racing in the Supersport 600cc class Murphy rode his Honda CBR to third, fifth and fourth places across his three races.
The combined result gave him fourth overall against some of Australia’s best Supersport racers including Australian Superbike Championship front-runners Friday’s overall winner Jack Passfield and Aidan Hayes.
“He was only one of two Irish lads racing there on Friday,” added Andrew.
