BREAKING Noel  O’Sullivan misses out on British Rally Championship title quest

Noel O’Sullivan’s ambitions of becoming British Rally Champion for 2021 are over after he and his driver Osian Pryce crashed out of the Ulster Rally – BOTH CREW MEMBERS ARE OK!

The pair were in an event long battle with Matt Edwards and Darren Garrod and it was a case of the first crew home would take the title.

Just 9.1 seconds separated the two Volkswagen Polo teams as they entered the eighth and penultimate stage in County Down.

Unfortunately, Pryce and O’Sullivan did not finish the stage and the Killarney man’s hopes of becoming the second Kerryman after Mikie Galvin to lift the title were over.

Galvin finished fifth on the event alongside Keith Cronin after a troubled day which included a puncture.

Mark Kane was due to start the event as co-driver to Phillip Allen but he was unable to travel due to personal reasons leaving just four Kerry men on the entry list.

John McCarthy was 17th overall alongside John Devlin in a Ford Escort Mk2.
