Hanafin drops to second after mixed Croft weekend – Silverstone this weekend

A mixed weekend at Croft has demoted Lorcan Hanafin to second the Porsche Carrera Cup championship standings.

The Leeds based youngster finished second to championship rival Dan Cammish is race one.

The second race of the weekend took place on Sunday afternoon in dry conditions. Hanafin made a strong start from the second row of the grid to lead into the first corner.

On lap three, he made contact with a tyre stack which immediately ended his day. Hanafin’s retirement handed the race lead to Kiern Jewiss with Cammish now second

Cammish left his home circuit of Croft with the Pro category championship lead in what could prove to be the pivotal turning point of the season.

Porsche Carrera Cup GB travels directly to Silverstone next weekend for rounds 11 and 12 of the championship with six races remaining.
