Abbeyfeale motocross racer Gavin Moloney finishes third in National Series after difficult final round

Abbeyfeale motocross racer Gavin Moloney hopes of taking the Southern Masters Moto-X Championship national title were dashed by a first-race accident at the final round in Dublin last weekend.
Moloney, who rides a Honda CRF 250R, has been the long-time leader of the series but has hit trouble in the two most recent rounds.
He was involved in a first corner crash last weekend and that hindered his progress for the rest of the meeting.

“Things didn’t go to plan. I had first corner crash. Got fairly banged up in that so just limped around for rest of the races, getting 14th overall. I finished third in championship was still happy with that as it’s big improvement from previous years,” he told Kerry Motorsport News.
