Meet the Killarney motorcycle racing marshal.
Mike Kissane, better known for his role as a racer and coach, within the ranks of Killarney Cycling Club, has become a member of the highly respected ‘Orange Army’ at Mondello Park.
Last weekend marked the third Dunlop Irish Masters Superbike Championship meeting of the year.

It was also the third time Mike had volunteered to marshal at the motorcycle races at the County Kildare track.
Normally positioned a turn one, he has seen some of the best championship action so far this year.
In fact he was not only a witness to Emmet O’Grady’s spectacular crash during the July meeting, he was actually on hand to help the Tralee racer had he failed to get back on his Honda Fireblade.

Mike was also on hand to witness the spectacular domino effect during the opening Superbike race last Saturday. Five Superbikes got turned upside down in the opening lap, first corner melee.
