Craig Breen says he’s never driven better than he did on last weekend’s Renties Ypres Rally Belgium.
The Irishman was on spectacular form in Belgium, finishing second behind team-mate Thierry Neuville to help Hyundai Motorsport narrow the gap to manufacturers’ championship leader Toyota Gazoo Racing with four rounds remaining.
Breen and his Killarney co-driver Paul Nagle are previous Rally Ypres winners but their performance last weekend was their best ever at WRC levels.
“All the ingredients are around us. It’s just a pleasure to drive one of these cars, I know I always bang on about it. Thanks to everybody for a top job this weekend. I’ve enjoyed every second of it,” he said at the finish.
Here they are at a staggering 197km/h on Saturday afternoon. – videos thanks to Conor O’Neill
