Duagh native Noel Moloney guided his driver, Quentin Palmer, to a category victory on Rally Hawkes Bay, the penultimate round of the New Zealand Rally Championship.
They finished ninth overall and first in class and now comfortably lead the Newcomers category with just Rally Coromandel left to run on September 4.
“It was a great day, the stages were slippery in the morning,” said Moloney “We beat our closet rivals in the championship by nearly two minutes.”
