A puncture on the sixth stage robbed Keith Cronin and Mikie Galvin of a top-six finish in what was their first British Rally Championship event in three years. The Ford Fiesta crew finished tenth overall as a result of their time delay.
“They had a cautious start in the Hankook Ford Fiesta Rally 2, before a change of tyre compound for the afternoon stages inspired more confidence. A puncture on the second run over the Monument test then scuppered any chance of a good result, costing a minute and dropping them to tenth in the final classification,” said a team spokesperson.
