Duagh-based motorcycle racer Mike Sheeran returned to Mondello Park for the first time in 14 years when he contested the opening three races in the Dunlop Masters Championship recently.
Mike, better known for his off road Enduro racing – he is contesting this weekend’s first Hare n’ Hound event in Kilkenny – contested the Moto 400 class on his Honda RV.

He improved in all three races, taking a seventh, fifth and finally a fourth place over the weekend.
“I wasn’t expecting much so I was delighted with my progress over the weekend,” he said. “ I am just doing the Masters at the minute but I might venture up north later in the year.”
His bike was prepared by Davie Broderick of BNH Motorcycle in Abbeyfeale.

Broderick was also in action over the weekend and finished ninth, tenth and 11th in the same three races

“Davie is a big RVF enthusiast also,” added Sheeran.
