Irelands only Motorsports Competitions website, based near Carragh Lake, last week, hosted its first winner of the Rally Trackday Competition at Mondello Park.
Desmond Quinn from Skibbereen in County Cork won a full day at Mondello Park driving RallyFish’s Citroen C2 Maxi.
Desmond’s lucky number 104 was drawn live on Facebook last Monday, May 17, less than four days later he was flying around Mondello Park’s full international circuit.
For just €14.99 Desmond completed nearly 80km throughout the day.
The package was full, arrive and drive, insurance, fuel, tyres, helmets and even a nice dryish garage were included in the package,
Desmond was also delighted he could bring his nephew, Eoin, as a passenger.
“After the initial drivers briefing I took him around for a couple of sighting laps, conditions were terrible but nothing would wipe the smile off Desmond’s face, He had previously done a few trackdays, but never at Mondello Park and nothing compared to the C2 he had the pleasure to drive,” said RallyFish’s founder Colin Fisher.
“Despite the conditions Desmond and Eoin had great fun, they pushed as much as possible where conditions allowed but were also very conscious and did not take any risks.
The Citroen did not miss a beat all day, and as conditions slightly improved so did the pace, overall Desmond & Eoin were amazed that we could offer such a package for less than €15.
