Killarney’s links with Western Australia rally championship
This year’s Western Australia Rally Championship will have an unusual Killarney connection.
The championship gets under way this weekend with the Bakers Hill Rally which is based about 100km east of Perth.
The seventh seed for the rally is Perth-based British driver David Thomas who is driving a Subaru Impreza.

Thomas is entered in the rally under the Killarney Autos banner, a Perth car repair firm owned and operated by Neil Lenihan.
The Gneeveguilla man founded Killarney Autos Pty in 2002, which is named in honour of a local garage by the same name, and is well-known in the Western Australia motorsport scene.
