Michael Fassbender will contest his first race of 2021 on Sunday when he lines out for 4 Hours of Barcelona, the opening round of the European Le Mans Series.
The is his second season in the series as he prepares to realise his ambition of racing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

His season officially started on Tuesday when he joined his teammates for 2021 for the first time on the a prologue test session.
The Fossa man will share a Proton Competition-prepared Porsche 911 RSR with Felipe Lasser (Germany) and Richard Lietz (Austria) in an unchanged line-up from last season.
“In my first season in this strong championship, I learned a lot, from the team and from my teammates. I am happy that we will be racing together again this time and I hope that we can translate the experience we gained last year into a good result at the opening race in Barcelona,” he said.

The ELMS (www.europeanlemansseries.com) official website and YouTube channel will be showing the 4 Hours of Barcelona live. The race begins at 10am Sunday morning Irish time.
