Michael Fassbender drove a racing car yesterday for the first time since last October.

The Fossa man is preparing for the opening round of the European Le Mans Series which takes place in Barcelona on Sunday.
Fassbender is contesting the series for the second year in a row as part of his long-held ambition to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans race in France either later this year or next year.
He drives a Porsche 911 RSR for the Germany-based Proton Competition team and share the car on the long distance races with Richard Lietz (Austria) und Felipe Laser (Germany).

Tuesday was the official test day for LM GT class drivers. Their combined times was good enough for fifth in the class standing.

Fassbender is considered a Bronze driver in this category and all Bronze drivers will have another collective test on Friday afternoon.
