Porsche Carerra Cup GB
Lorcan Hanafin had his best weekend to date as the Porsche Carerra Cup GB visited Thruxton, in Hampshire. The Leeds-based racer, who has strong family ties to the Ballinorig area of Tralee took a second- and a third-place finish in each of his two races on Sunday. He is third overall and leads the rookie section as the series heads for rounds 11 and 12 (out of 16) at Silverstone this weekend.

After an incident packed first race at Thuruxton, Hanafin moved from sixth to finish P3get his third podium of the year.
Race two was all about tyres with as several frontrunners suffered puncture. He claimed second place and punctures second podium of the day while also taking home the top rookie honours for the third time this season.

He is just one point clear of his rookie title rival Matt Graham Hanifin has the edge once previous event statistics are taken into account. They both have eight podiums to their name but Hanifin has three wins compared to Graham’s two.
