Castleisland man racing Endurance motorcycles in Sydney

A Castleisland man finished eighth overall in a five-hour motorcycle endurance race in Sydney over the weekend.

Dan McCarthy, who is a nephew of well-known local engine builder Gerry McCarthy, took part in the opening round of Dunlop Motorcycle Road Race at Sydney Motorsport Park, Eastern Creek, in western Sydney on Saturday

McCarthy finished eighth in the five-hour race with six professional or works entries ahead of him.
