Killarney pair Dave Slattery and Denis Coffey have moved into second place overall in the Top Part West Coast Rally Championship following their performance at last Sunday’s Rose Hotel Kerry Summer Mini Stages Rally.
The Ford Escort Mk2 crew finished as the highest-placed registered championship contenders in the newly introduced 2026 summer event. Their maximum points haul on the Castleisland stages elevates them to second overall in the standings with 44 points, slotting in behind current championship leaders Josh Moffett and Keith Moriarty, who head the title race on 60 points.
The battle for the championship crown continues next month when the series moves to Tipperary for the Stonethrowers Rally in Clonmel on July 19th.
