Austin MacHale to lead Killarney Classic Tour on Saturday

Leading the spectacular field away from the start ramp this Saturday will be true Irish rallying royalty.

Five-time Irish Tarmac Champion Austin MacHale has been honoured with the number one slot to honoir his legendary career.

MacHale’s incredible track record includes six Galway International wins, three Rally of the Lakes titles, two Circuit of Ireland victories, two Donegal International wins, two Cork ‘20’ titles, and a West Cork rally win, confirming his status as an all-time great.

Austin will be co-driven by his grandson, Adam Kelly, in the famous family Ford Focus WRC through the iconic local stages.

Adding to the nostalgic variety of the tour, spectators can look forward to a diverse range of historic machinery following MacHale on the road. Among the many standouts bringing a classic blast from the past to the event is AJ Keating from Kanturk – one of MacHale’s contemporary rivlas from the 1980s will be tackling the scenic route in a Mercedes 300 SL.
