The South West Road Races Athea Launch Night will take place on Saturday, 27th June 2026, preceded by a special Charity Ride Out in aid of Anthony O’Carroll’s Road to Resilience fund.
The bike run costs €20 to enter, with all proceeds raised split between the running costs of the motorcycle club and the ongoing fundraiser for the Kerry road racer.

Check-in for the event begins at 4:00 pm at Your Mans Bar in Ballyduff, with stands up for the run at 5:45 pm. The route will take riders through Ballybunion, Asdee, Ballylongford, Tarbert, and Glin. A scheduled stop will take place at the Swanky Bar at 6:15 pm, before the bikes arrive at Brown Joe’s Bar in Athea at 7:15 pm, where refreshments will be served.
From 8:00 pm, Brown Joe’s Bar will host the official South West Road Races Athea Launch Night celebrations. The evening features static bike displays, club members, and media coverage.
All participants who take part in the charity bike run will also receive free entry into a raffle on the night. For any further information regarding the event, contact Moses on 085-8428258.
