Kerry competitors head to Circuit of Munster

A contingent of local drivers and co-drivers are entered for this Sunday’s Circuit of Munster Rally in Limerick, round four of the Triton Showers National Rally Championship.
Co-driver Shane Buckley is the highest-seeded Kerry competitor on the entry list, navigating for Donegal’s David Kelly in a Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 at car 2.
Conor Murphy and Sean Collins line up at car 29 in a Ford Escort. Murphy returned to action at the Rally of the Lakes following an 18-month absence, where he showed pace before an alternator failure forced a retirement.
At car 40, Tommy Mason and Paul McGlinchey make their second appearance in Class 14 since stepping up from Class 12 in their Ford Escort. They start just ahead of Class 13 frontrunners Dave Slattery and Denis Coffey at car 42, who are competing for National and West Coast championship points. Class 14 regulars Mike Quinn and Kieran Doherty are entered at car 57 in their Escort Mk2.
Killarney co-driver Nial Myers partners Donegal’s Oisin McShane at car 67 in a Peugeot 208 R2, following their class victory in Carlow.
Tarbert’s Mossie Costello lines up at car 68, partnered by Paddy Heffernan in a Ford Fiesta Rally4.
Peter Kelly and Maurice McElligott team up at car 74 in a Ford Escort, having already worked together at West Cork and the Rally of the Lakes this season. At car 80, Eoin Duffin and Mike Cleary make their second start in their new Ford Fiesta R5.
David Randles returns for his first rally in a long time, driving a Peugeot 208 Rally4 at car 90 with Aidan Kennedy. John Hickey and Natasha Murphy partner up at car 92 in the Fubaru Escort RS 4×4, having previously competed together at West Cork last year.
Killarney and District Motor Club crew Daniel O’Connor and Micheal O’Shea are entered at car 112 in a Honda Civic. Michelle Quinn and Caz Somers line up at car 148 in their Civic, with Louise Bourke completing the local entries at car 151 in her Peugeot 206 Cup Car.
