Farranfore dealership to host exclusive Skoda motorsport evening – 630pm Thursday
Liam Lynch’s Skoda dealership in Farranfore will host a special motorsport event this Thursday afternoon, April 30, offering local fans a first look at the rare new Fabia 130.
The arrival of the vehicle is a significant milestone for the Kerry dealership, as it is the first Kerry-registered model of its kind and among the first to land in Ireland. The event serves as a curtain-raiser for the Assess Ireland Rally of the Lakes weekend, bringing together rally enthusiasts and performance car fans.
Starting at 7:00 pm, the evening will feature a meet-and-greet with reigning Irish National Rally champions Eddie Doherty and Tom Murphy. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from the champions as they prepare for the weekend’s stages.
The star attraction, the Fabia 130, is a limited-edition model built to celebrate Skoda’s 130th anniversary. It is the fastest series-produced Fabia ever made, capable of reaching 228 km/h. With a 174 bhp engine and sports-tuned suspension, the car is designed as a tribute to Skoda’s successful history in international rallying.
With production strictly limited to just 40 units across 2026 and 2027, this is a rare chance for the public to see the car in person before it enters private collections.
Everyone is welcome to attend the Farranfore showroom this Thursday evening to soak up the pre-rally atmosphere and view the latest addition to the Skoda performance line-up.
