





























Ted’s Opel Vauxhall Run Announces 2026 dates
The 19th Ted’s Opel Vauxhall Run has been officially scheduled for August 8, 2026, with the announcement coinciding with the reveal of the prizewinners from the 2025 event.
The run, which took place in ideal sunny weather, brought together Opel and Vauxhall enthusiasts for a scenic journey through Kerry and Cork.
The 2025 run kicked off at the Mills Inn, where Emma Toner, Marketing Director for Opel Ireland, thanked participants for keeping the brand’s heritage alive.
She presented the Opel Ireland-sponsored Trophy for Best Overall Car to Christy Buckley from Blarney for his Kadett C Coupe.
Ellen O’Mahony also spoke on behalf of the Dogs for the Disabled charity, expressing gratitude for the valuable contributions.
The route took participants through Kilgarvan, Bonane, and the Caha Pass, with a stop at Cronin’s Centra in Ballylickey where rally driver Denis Cronin presented awards. The final awards were given out back at the Mills Inn.
Kerry winners included Michael Horan from Killarney won the a Special Award, picked by staff from the Mills Inn, for his Opel Manta B GTE. Meanwhile, Brendan Howard from Tralee took home the Kevin O’Leary Group Best Opel Cup for his Opel Manta B GT.
