The Moriarty’s Central Car Sales Kingdom of Kerry Rally Championship is heating up as the season draws to a close.

With the recent The Rose Hotel Kerry Winter Rally and the upcoming Killarney Towers Historic Rally, the championship standings have seen some significant shifts.

A series of unfortunate events has reshaped the driver’s championship. Darren Young and Colin O’Donoghue, both strong contenders, were either  unable to finish or start the Rose Hotel Kerry Winter Rally due to mechanical issues.

This opened the door for Tommy Mason, who capitalised on a class win to seize the championship lead.

Vincent O’Shea, known for his consistency, holds a strong second position.

In the historic rally championship, Alan Ring maintains his lead despite a non-finish in Tralee.

However, a strong performance in the Killarney Towers Historic Rally could see him move up the overall standing and open the door for  Mark Falvey who is currently second the historic driver category.

The co-driver championship is equally intense. Eoin O’Donoghue, the only co-driver to start all four rounds, holds a comfortable lead but as it’s the best three rounds to count dropped scores will come into play.

Mason’s co-driver Paul McGlinchey and Pa Lawlor who has co-driven for both Young and John O’Flaherty follow closely behind, while Kieran O’Donoghue and defending champion Noel O’Sullivan share the fourth position.

The Killarney Towers Historic Rally: This event will be crucial for drivers and co-drivers aiming to improve their positions.

The final non-scoring  round of the Moriarty’s Central Car Sales Kingdom of Kerry Rally Championship will be held on December 30 at the Anvil Bar in Keel, where the overall champions will be crowned!!!
