The organisers of the Moriarty’s Central Car Sales Kingdom of Kerry Rally Championship announced three new incentive schemes for the 2024 championship.
The winning drivers will receive a voucher that can be redeemed against an entry for the 2025 Circuit of Kerry Rally.
The winning co-driver will receive a € 200 euro fuel voucher that can be used to offset travelling costs during the 2025 season.
As a result of a large contingent of Kerry-based Junior 1000 drivers starting the Killarney Forestry Rally on February 18, a category for 14 to 17 -year -olds will be introduced into the only county rally championship in the country.
Because these youngsters cannot enter the remaining closed road events, the highest-placed Kerry driver on the forestry rally will be deemed the Junior 1000 County Champion for 2025 and will collect a gold county medal at the championship’s awards do next December.
“It is all about giving back,” said championship founder and sponsor Mike Moriarty.
