Darragh Crean to race in the British Superbike Championship in 2024

Tralee racer Darragh Crean is to make his British Superbike Championship debut next season.

He has signed for Dublin-based DJ Racing and plans to tackle the BSB, along with the NorthWest 200  and selected Irish road races.

The team will also race on the Isle of Man with the Southern 100 and the Manx Grand Prix already confirmed as part of the 2024 plan.

The team have yet to announce what class they will race or what type of bike they will race.

Crean is best known as a Super Twin and Production Twin front-running at Mondello Park but he has also raced, on and off at Irish road race events.

“I am excited to be part of DJ Racing for the 2024 season, and while we will be announcing the machinery that I will be riding soon, I know that the BSB in particular will be tough, and new to me. I have dreamt of competing at the Manx Grand Prix for many years now, and I really cannot wait to get the famous tap on the shoulder,” he said Darragh Crean.

Team Principal Danny Breen added: “This new challenge is a major step for the team, and we are looking forward to working with Darragh, who we know as a competent rider and a talented one as well. Mixing the roads with BSB will be a busy year, but the team are confident that 2024 will be a fruitful one for us. We will be announcing our sponsors and machinery soon.”
