Two Irish co-drivers in action in New Zealand this weekend

Two Irish co-drivers will compete in the Daybreaker Rally in New Zealand this weekend.

Shane Reynolds is from Ballymacarbey County Waterford is seeded 16 for the rally alongside Scottish driver Sean Haggarty  Subaru Impreza WRX.

Two places ahead on the entry list sits, Kerry man Noel Moloney and his driver Quentin Palmer.

“Shane has a lot of experience in the co-driver’s seat but to have me seeded as 14 it’s going to be some days craic,” said Moloney.

“The last time I sat with Quentin Palmer two years ago when I won the category 5A in the  New Zealand  Rally Championship.

“I am really looking forward to heading to Daybreaker this weekend with a bumper entry of 94 cars. It certainly will be a good showdown. The  rally starts Friday evening with a ceremonial start and Saturday morning first car away at 5.30 am.”
