Kerry Rose to present winning drivers awards at Rose Hotel Circuit of Kerry Rally
Kerry Rose Édaein O’Connell will present the winning drivers with their laurels after Sunday’s Rose Hotel Circuit of Kerry Rally.
The 44th edition of the Kerry Motor Club event rolls into Tralee this weekend.
Over 150 drivers from all over Ireland, Briain and even as far afield as Australia will tackle the nine-stage event.
As a round of three major championships, the Triton Showers National, the Top Part West Coast and the Moriarty’s Central Car Sales Kingdom of Kerry, there is a lot at stake on Sunday.
Given the massive entry, beds in the Tralee area are at a premium and the event will provide a huge financial boost to the town.
“The benefits of such an event are enormous to the local economy and a most welcome boost to local businesses as we enter the start of our tourist season. Events like this are a vital part of our town’s vibrancy and vitality and bring such a carnival atmosphere to the region. The benefits are not just a boost to the local economy but also a boost to our tourism offering and of course to motorsport in general,” said Tralee Chamber Alliance President Nathan McDonnell.
The winning drivers are expected at the Rose Hotel just after 4 30 pm on Sunday evening.
There to greet them will the 2022 Kerry Rose Édaein O’Connell marking one of her final events before she hands over the coveted crown in the next few weeks.
“I am delighted to be attending the prize-giving ceremony for the Circuit of Kerry Rally. These events are not only enjoyable, but they are vital for the community at large and create a sense of excitement throughout the county,” she said.
“As I near the end of my tenure as the Kerry Rose, I am treasuring any and every event where I can meet locals and be involved.”
The Rose Hotel Circuit of Kerry Rally gets underway on Friday night with an overseas competitor reception at rally headquarters.

There will be a static display of rally cars in Tralee Town centre on Saturday from 1 pm to 5 pm in association with Tralee Quick Fit and Tralee Chamber Alliance.
The nine-stage rally takes place in the general Cordal and Knocknagoshel area on Sunday with the crew re-visiting the service park in the Rose Hotel three times during the day.
